There are Guinness World Records for just about everything these days.
And obviously, that includes animals and pets.
Initially, looking at this big beautiful Saint Bernard pup named Mochi, you might think his new Guinness Record involves his size.
Well…yes and no.
In fact, Mochi recently landed in the world-renowned records book for something related to size, but it’s not his entire body.
Nope, there are bigger Saint Bernards out there, but none have Mochi beat in one category:
His incredible tongue!
That’s right, Mochi officially has the longest dog tongue in the world, coming in at exactly 7.31 inches, measured snout to tip.
That’s even longer that KISS front-man’s Gene Simmons’ legendary 7-inch tongue!
Mochi’s owner, Carla Rickert, is pleased as punch that her pup will be in the Guinness Book of World Records, too. As she told The Telegraph:
“When we open that Guinness World Records book and see Mochi’s picture in there we’re going to feel very proud…
…and it’s going to make all of the water and slobber we’ve cleaned up over the last 6 ½ years well worth it.”
Oh yes, well worth it!
But can you imagine how much water Mochi wastes with every bowl, though? 😉
